Tensors and Complexity in Quantum Information Science

I present a brief overview about how tensors are utilized in quantum information theory, in order to characterize quantum correlations (or entanglement) of quantum many-body systems. Examples include hyperdeterminants and tensor network states. The complexity of such tensorial descriptions is naturally connected to an important question about simulatability of quantum computation and quantum simulation by classical methods.
