Authenticating Quantum States

Similarly to encrypting a quantum state to hide its information content, we can authenticate a state to protect its content from being altered. This talk will give an overview of existing research on quantum authentication codes (QACs): I will discuss various definitions and properties, and give explicit examples of such QACs. I will also show the potential of QACs as a tool for *verifying* quantum computations, for example in multi-party and non-interactive settings.
