Abstract
The data rate at the Large Hadron Collider is so high that most events are discarded in real time. I will discuss algorithms for this decision making at the earliest stages of this trigger system. These algorithms have time severe constraints and also must be able to handle partial or missing data. The more effective these real time algorithms are, the better our chances will be to uncover fundamental properties of nature.
