Abstract
We present a randomized approach for quantum Gibbs sampling. We construct a Lindblad dynamic where the jump operators are constructed by random unitary designs. This generator (i) can be efficiently implemented using the randomized algorithm, and (ii) exhibits a spectral gap lower bound that determined by the spectrum of the Hamiltonians. Our results provide a new instance of a class of Hamiltonians for which the thermal state can be efficiently prepared using the quantum Gibbs sampling algorithm.
