Yanlin Chen

Yanlin Chen is originally from Taiwan. He is currently a Hartree postdoctoral fellow in QuICS at the University of Maryland, hosted by Prof. Daniel Gottesman. Formerly, he was a postdoctoral researcher at CWI (Dutch Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science) and QuSoft, hosted by Prof. Ronald de Wolf. He received his Ph.D. from CWI and QuSoft at the University of Amsterdam, where he was advised by Prof. Ronald de Wolf.

His research interests lie in theoretical computer science and quantum computation. He focuses on convex and non-convex optimization, the advantages of quantum computation, and high-dimensional geometry. Currently, he is working on more efficient quantum algorithms for convex optimization problems and lattice problems, as well as studying their limitations.
