Russell Impagliazzo

Professor, UC San Diego

Russell Impagliazzo has a PhD in Mathematics from UC Berkeley and did a 2 year postdoc in Computer Science at the University of Toronto. Since 1991, he has been a faculty member in the CSE Department at UCSD. He was a Visiting Professor at IAS from 2007-2012. His research is primarily in computational complexity, particularly in pseudo-randomness, proof complexity, average-case complexity and the theory of cryptography.
