Raef Bassily

Assistant Professor, Ohio State University

Raef Bassily's research interests span privacy-preserving data analysis, machine learning, optimization, and information theory. Since fall 2017, Raef has been an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. Before joining OSU, he was a data science postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Diego. Prior to that, Raef was a postdoc in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. He completed his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2012.
