Mahdi Haghifam is a Research Assistant Professor at Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC) and a former postdoc at Northeastern University. He completed his PhD at the University of Toronto and Vector Institute. His research focuses on theoretical foundations and methodologies of machine learning, particularly in the area of trustworthy ML. His work has been recognized with a Best Paper Award at ICML 2024, and he has received several fellowships including the MITACS Accelerate Fellowship and several Research Excellence Awards from the University of Toronto.
