Joel Friedman is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. He received an AB in Mathematics from Harvard College in 1984and a PhD in Mathematics from UC Berkeley in 1987. His research interests include the spectral theory of random graphs , expanders, and sheaves on graphs.
