Professor, California Institute of Technology

Federico Echenique is Professor of Economics at the California Institute of Technology, and Executive Officer for the Social Sciences. Professor Echenique's work is in theoretical and mathematical economics, with a focus on revealed preference theory (the interaction between theoretical models and the structure of datasets that may falsify them), two-sided matching theory, and computer science and economics. Echenique has published works in the American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and other leading journals in economics, as well as in the most important conference venues specializing in research at the intersection of computer science and economics.
