Claire Burrin is an assistant professor at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Zurich. Claire received her PhD in Mathematics from ETH Zurich in 2016. She was a Hill Assistant Professor at Rutgers University and a Senior Research Associate at ETH Zurich, prior to moving to her current position in February 2022. Her research explores connections between geometry, dynamics, and number theory, with an emphasis on the question: How do arithmetic and geometric structures give rise to random-like phenomena, and what analytic tools allow us to describe them?
