Christian Coester

Christian Coester received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oxford in 2020, where he was supervised by Elias Koutsoupias. After postdocs at CWI in Amsterdam (hosted by Nikhil Bansal) and Tel Aviv University (hosted by Niv Buchbinder), he became Lecturer in Algorithms at the University of Sheffield in January 2022. His research interests are in the design and analysis of algorithms, with a focus on online algorithms and learning-augmented algorithms. His goal is to develop algorithmic techniques to effectively handle uncertainty.
