Chris Jones

Postdoctoral Researcher,
UC Davis

Chris Jones is interested in mathematically-inspired theories of algorithm design, including semidefinite programming algorithms (notably the Sum-of-Squares hierarchy), low-degree algorithms, and belief propagation algorithms from statistical physics. He was previously a Math Fellow at UC Davis hosted by Alex Wein and a postdoctoral researcher at Bocconi University, supported by Luca Trevisan and Alon Rosen. He obtained his PhD in 2022 from the University of Chicago advised by Aaron Potechin.
