Arkil Patel

Arkil is a PhD student at Mila and McGill University, advised by Siva Reddy and Dzmitry Bahdanau. Previously, he has interned at the Allen Institute for AI (AllenNLP) and worked as a Research Fellow at Microsoft Research India.

His research focuses on understanding and evaluating various aspects of generalization in Large Language Models (LLMs). He has extensively worked on designing challenging and effective benchmarks for LLMs. He has also carried out analysis works explaining the capabilities of Transformers and emergent phenomenon such as in-context learning.
