Angela Zhou

Assistant Professor, University of Southern California

Angela Zhou is an assistant professor in the Data Sciences and Operations Dept. at the USC Marshall School of Business. Her research focuses on reliable data-driven decision-making under uncertainty. She develops methodology with guarantees building on tools from operations research, causal inference, and statistical machine learning. She is motivated by problems in consequential domains such as platform-mediated systems, healthcare, and public policy, and interested in improving interfaces between method and practice. To these ends, her research has developed robust causal inference for decision-making, and credible performance evaluation for algorithmic fairness and disparity assessment.
