Alexander Schmidhuber

Alexander Schmidhuber

Graduate Student,
MIT

Alexander is a PhD student at the MIT Center for Theoretical Physics, co-advised by Aram Harrow and Seth Lloyd. His research focuses on the development of new quantum algorithms and on quantum complexity theory. Currently, he is particularly interested in applications of "Decoded Quantum Interferometry" and in quantum algorithms for problems in algebraic topology.

Alexander obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree from ETH Zurich in the group of Renato Renner, where he studied physics and mathematics. Before joining MIT, he spent a year at Google Quantum AI supervised by Ryan Babbush.
