Multi-version Coding and Shared Memory Emulation
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm PST
Location:
Calvin Lab Auditorium
The shared memory emulation problem is a problem studied in distributed computing with applications to distributed storage systems. The multi-version coding problem is a coding theoretic problem that is recently formulated with motivations to shared memory emulation. We will introduce these problems and discuss possible connections in this talk.
