Vipul Goyal

Vipul Goyal is a researcher in the Cryptography and Complexity group at Microsoft Research, India. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles in 2009, and BTech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi in 2004. He is interested in both theoretical and applied aspects of cryptography, such as zero-knowledge proofs, protocol composition and functional encryption. Goyal has won honors such as a Microsoft Research graduate fellowship and Google outstanding graduate student award, and was featured in Forbes Magazine's 30-under-30 list of innovators.
