Tosca Lechner

Tosca Lechner is currently a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, where she is working with Professor Shai Ben-David on statistical learning theory. Her current research interests are in strategic classification, foundational models, and interpretable certainty estimation with provable guarantees. She has also worked on algorithmic fairness and computable PAC learning. Previously, she received her master's degree in Cognitive Science at the University of Tübingen where she wrote her thesis on domain adaptation under causal assumptions under the supervision of Professor Ruth Urner.
