Thomas Krendl Gilbert earned an interdisciplinary PhD in Machine Ethics and Epistemology from UC Berkeley. He researches how new AI capabilities disrupt human decision-making in distinct domains, including transportation and social media. He is now building tools like Reward Reports that make it possible to deliberate about system capabilities as they emerge.
