Santhoshini Velusamy is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. She received her PhD from Harvard University in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Madhu Sudan, and was awarded the Google PhD Fellowship in 2021. Her research focuses on the design and analysis of algorithms — particularly streaming and sublinear algorithms for combinatorial optimization problems, including constraint satisfaction problems— as well as proving hardness of approximation.
