Sam is a PhD student in the Computer Science department at Columbia University, advised by Daniel Hsu and Jeannette Wing. He is broadly interested in learning theory. More specifically, he is interested learning under distribution shift and other nonstationary environments, learning in scenarios with multiple stakeholders or distributions of interest, and online learning.
