Petra Berenbrink completed her PhD at University of Paderborn, Germany. She went on to a postdoc under the supervision of Leslie Goldberg at the University of Warwick, UK. From 2002--2016 she was faculty at Simon Fraser University, Canada. Since 2016 she is full professor at the University of Hamburg, Germany. Her research interest is the analysis of randomised algorithms.
