Ngoc Tran

Ngoc is an assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics, UT Austin. She is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at with the Australian National University, and a Bonn Research Fellow at the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, Germany.
She obtained my PhD in Statistics in 2013 under Bernd Sturmfels at UC Berkeley. Her research lies at the intersection of stochastic geometry, tropical geometry, discrete optimization, and data analysis.
