Mihyun Kang

Mihyun Kang is Professor of Discrete Mathematics at the Graz University of Technology. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology and a Habilitation in Theoretical Computer Science from the Humboldt University of Berlin. Among the honors and awards she has received are the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Heisenberg Fellowship of the German Research Council. Her main research areas include the phase transitions in random graphs, random hypergraphs, random subgraphs, random planar graphs, and probabilistic algorithms.
