Matthew Brennan

Matthew Brennan is a fourth year PhD student in EECS at MIT, advised by Guy Bresler. Previously, he received BSc in mathematics and EECS from MIT. Matthew’s research focuses on statistical-computational tradeoffs in high-dimensional statistical problems and how these problems are related via average-case reductions. He is generally interested in applications of information inequalities in discrete probability. His work received a best student paper award at the Conference on Learning Theory 2018.
