María Isabel Herrero

Isabel Herrero obtained her PhD in Mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires in April 2013, under the direction of Gabriela Jeronimo and Juan Sabia. The main focus of her research has been on theoretical and algorithmic aspects of the solution of sparse systems of polynomial equations, including estimates of the complexity of associated algorithms. She has also begun work on various topics in tropical geometry with Alicia Dickenstein.
