Juan Garay

Senior Principal Research Scientist, Yahoo Labs
Juan A. Garay received his PhD in Computer Science from Penn State in 1989, and is currently a Senior Principal Research Scientist at Yahoo Labs. He was a postdoc at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and held research positions at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Bell Labs, and AT&T Labs -- Research. His research interests include theoretical and practical aspects of cryptography and information security.  He has published extensively in the areas of cryptography, network security, distributed computing, and algorithms; he is the recipient of over two dozen patents, and has served on the program committees of many conferences and international panels. Recently, he was the program co-chair for Crypto 2013 and 2014.
