Jorge X. Velasco-Hernandez works currently at the Instituto de Matematicas UNAM campus Juriquilla. His research interests center in the population dynamics of infectious diseases and mathematical epidemiology. During 2020 and 2021 he was involved in the epidemiological evaluation of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in Mexico.
