Jelena Diakonikolas is a Postdoctoral Associate at Boston University and a Visiting Scholar at MIT. Her research focuses on algorithms and optimization, with applications in networked systems. Jelena received her MS and PhD from Columbia University, where she was co-advised by Gil Zussman and Cliff Stein. She is a co-winner of the Qualcomm 2015 Innovation Fellowship, and was named one of the "10 Women in Communications/Networking That You Should Watch." She has earned a number of recognitions from Columbia University, including the Morton B. Friedman Memorial Prize for Excellence, a Collaborative Research Award, the Jacob Millman Prize for Excellence in Teaching Assistance, and an MS Award of Excellence.
