Jaikumar Radhakrishnan

Professor, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research

Jaikumar Radhakrishnan works in the area of Theoretical Computer Science, and is interested in applying algebraic, combinatorial, probabilistic and information theoretic tools for studying computational problems. He has contributed results in Approximation Algorithms, Circuit Complexity, Communication Complexity and Quantum Computing. He received his BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in 1985. He worked at CMC, Kolkata, for a year (1985-86) developing software. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University in 1991. He has been at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in since 1991, and has spent a year at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (1992-93), a year at the Hebrew University (1996-97), and two years at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (2004-2006).
