Hanwen Yao

Postdoctoral Researcher, Duke University

Hanwen Yao received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2016, followed by the completion of his MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) in 2018 and 2022, respectively. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Associate with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. His research focuses on coding theory and information theory. He was honored with the Jack Keil Wolf ISIT Student Paper Award in 2021 and awarded the Shannon Graduate Fellowship by the Center for Memory and Recording Research in UCSD in the same year.
