Frédéric Theunissen

Professor, UC Berkeley

Frédéric Theunissen was born in Belgium and raised in Belgium, Spain and the United States. He fell in love with mathematics, physics, biology and philosophy in french high school. Theunissen is also a UC product. He got his BS in physics and his PhD in biophysics from UC Berkeley and did postdoctoral work at UCSF. Theunissen is fascinated by the brain, sounds and perception. He enjoys teaching computational methods for the next generation of social and biological scientists.
