Elina Robeva

UC Berkeley

Elina Robeva is currently a third year PhD student in mathematics at UC Berkeley, working with Bernd Sturmfels in the field of algebraic statistics. Robeva is interested in applying algebraic geometry to areas such as machine learning, statistics, and optimization. She received a masters degree in mathematics from Harvard in 2012 and a bachelors degree in mathematics from Stanford in 2011.
