Eghbal Hosseini Asl

Postdoctoral Researcher, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Eghbal Hosseini holds a PhD in computational neuroscience from MIT and is currently a postdoctoral associate working with Evelina Fedorenko at MIT. Originally from a small town in southwest Iran, Eghbal earned a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology and an M.S. from George Mason University. He later joined MIT’s Brain and Cognitive Sciences PhD program, focusing on computational approaches to language processing.

Eghbal’s research investigates the neural and computational mechanisms of language representation, bridging neurobiological insights with advanced AI models. By leveraging AI as a testbed, he examines convergent principles between artificial and biological neural systems, seeking to refine our understanding of language processing in the human brain through interdisciplinary methodologies in neuroAI.
