Damon Wischik

Researcher, University of Cambridge

Damon Wischik is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Cambridge. His research is in data science. His career has included time as a mathematical modeller specializing in queueing theory, as a computer scientist working on Internet architecture, as a statistical consultant for medical science, and as the chief data scientist at a startup. His approach to data science is a synthesis of these skillsets. He is particularly interested in modelling via interactive visualization, and in the use of neural networks to automate steps of the modelling process.
