Claudia did her PhD work in the Department of Population Genetics, Vetmeduni in Vienna, advised by Joachim Hermisson and Christian Schlötterer, and spent a semester abroad in the lab of Mark Kirkpatrick at UT Austin. The main focus of her graduate research was a theoretical study of the origin and maintenance of Dobzhansky-Muller incompatibilities in parapatry. Her current work in the Jensen Lab at EPFL focuses on theoretical development and the analysis of experimental evolution data (in collaboration with the Bolon Lab, UMass Med School).
