Christopher Pal
Professor, IVADO + Polytechnique Montréal + Université de Montréal + Mila
Christopher Pal is a Full Professor at Polytechnique Montréal, one of the founding faculty members of Mila - the Québec AI Institute, an adjunct professor with the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the University of Montréal and a Canada CIFAR AI Chair. He is a member of the IVADO and currently co-leading the AI Safety and Alignment group. He has over 25 years of experience in AI research, publishing early work on large language models and generative models for images and video. He was the Principal Research Scientist at Element AI and is a Distinguished Scientist with ServiceNow Research.
