Bart Kamphorst

CWI Amsterdam

Bart Kamphorst is a PhD student at the Dutch national research institute for mathematics and computer science (CWI) under the supervision of A.P. Zwart and N. Bansal. He received his BSc degree in mathematics and his MSc degree in applied mathematics from Leiden University. Kamphorst's research in the stochastics department of CWI is within the field of applied probability and explores the intersection of scheduling and queueing theory. His main interest is the behavior of single queue systems where the average arrival of work approaches the capacity of the server (heavy traffic).
