Austin is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley. His research interests broadly include the theoretical aspects of deep learning and reinforcement learning. In 2021, he graduated with a BS from Texas A&M University, where he worked with Huiyan Sang and Boris Hanin. He is extremely grateful for the time he had at Harvard University with Briana Stephenson and at Texas State University with Shuying Sun.
