Health & Safety Protocols
COVID-19 Update
The health and safety of our scientific community are a top priority. Please see below for more information about visiting the Simons Institute.
Masks
Masks are strongly recommended but no longer required indoors, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. For more info, go to https://coronavirus.berkeley.edu/masks/.
Visitors are required to acquire masks for their daily use. A limited supply of masks is available at the institute for those who forget to bring a mask.
Testing Positive
You should not come to campus if you have had any new and unusual symptoms of COVID-19 (not attributed to a previously known medical condition) in the last 24 hours. Most scientific activities will have a hybrid component for remote participation, with instructions sent to registered participants.
If you test positive, follow the campus procedures described here. Note that onboarded visitors should follow staff guidelines.
Visitors are responsible for acquiring COVID tests for their personal use. The Institute has limited COVID tests available for workshop speakers only.
