Cliff Stein

Clifford Stein is the Wei T. Chang Professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and of Computer Science at Columbia University. He is a fellow of the ACM and the former Director of the Data Science Institute at Columbia University. He conducts research in algorithms and optimization with a special interest in algorithms for big data, combinatorial optimziation, scheduling, and algorithms for computing systems. He has been an editor of several journals and is a co-author of the textbook Introduction to Algorithms, which has sold over 1 million copies.
