Tensors and their uses, especially for matrix multiplication (Part 1)

I will begin with a gentle introduction to tensors and how they arise in combinatorics, signal processing, geometry, and most importantly complexity theory. I will then focus on aspects of the geometry of tensors most relevant for the study of the complexity of matrix multiplication.
