Uta Lorenzen

Interim Assistant Director of Programs and Operations, Simons Institute, UC Berkeley
Uta is the Institute’s Interim Assistant Director of Programs and Operations. In this capacity, Uta oversees visitor services, and manages the Programs and Operations staff teams. Before joining the Simons Institute, Uta served as a Student Services Adviser at the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley, working primarily with architecture undergraduates. Prior to working at UC Berkeley, she held various positions in academic affairs at a small liberal arts university in the Oakland Hills. Uta received her MA in Education/Counseling & Student Personnel from San Jose State University and her BA in English from the University of California, Davis. In her free time, you can find her volunteering at a local animal sanctuary.
