Peter Pfaffelhuber

Professor, Freiburg University

Peter Pfaffelhuber received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2003 and is now Professor of Probability Theory in the Department of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Freiburg. In addition, part of his research group is located at the Center for Systems Biology (ZBSA) in Freiburg. His main research interest is in understanding phenomena in the life sciences by applying mathematical (mostly probabilistic) methods.  Pfaffelhuber received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2003.
