Research Associate, Rutgers University

Charles Shvartsman received BS degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science and Cognitive Science from Rutgers University. His research focuses on computational theories of selection processes in the brain. In particular, he is interested in how the cortex interacts with subcortical structures, such as the basal ganglia, thalamus, and brainstem nuclei to steer attention and action.
