The Simons Institute encourages visitors to take advantage of the many opportunities for healthful recreation on campus.

Campus gym membership

As members of the campus community, visitors are eligible for membership at the University's Recreational Sports Facility (RSF), which has fitness centers at various locations on campus, and offers numerous classes. The Stadium Fitness Center is a 3-minute walk from Calvin Lab.

Campus pools

The campus has a number of outdoor swimming pools, which are open during periods of the day for recreational swimming. RSF members can use the pools at any of the published rec swim times. The closest pool to Calvin Lab is Hearst North Pool, a 5-minute walk from the Institute.

Strawberry Canyon Pool does not require a membership, although RSF members swim for free; general admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. All other campus pools are for adults only.

Other opportunities

RSF offers numerous other services, including personal training and outdoor adventure instruction.
